According to the Federal Reserve’s economic survey, 44% of Americans don't have enough money to handle a $400 emergency. Unfortunately, even $400 might not be nearly enough to cover many situations that come up in life. Given the difficult economic climate COVID-19 has created, it’s more important than ever to know how to manage your money well.

Over the past few months, we’ve hosted webinars like Breakthrough to Financial Success with Chef Jeff and Getting the most out of online banking to provide members with advice on money management, success, and budgeting. Now, we’ve invited financial expert Lester Barron to speak at our newest webinar series, How Money Works: The Ultimate Guide for Financial Success and Managing your Money.

Trial by fire: Money management in troubling times

Lester first saw the importance of financial literacy after his father suddenly passed away at 50 and a disorganized estate devastated his family’s finances. That experience changed the trajectory of his life. Since then, he’s been motivated to help others find financial success.

Lester went on to earn a BA in Psychology from UCLA, work part-time at World Financial Group/Transamerica, and build a successful financial practice. Today, he and his wife lead a group of over 175 licensed professionals and help families achieve their financial goals.

Learn from an expert who has seen it all

As an expert with a wealth of knowledge and a regular financial advisor to many families, Lester knows what works and what doesn’t. He's seen it firsthand. His presentations have helped many people find their footing and build a solid foundation through saving, budgeting, and investing.

Lester will join us for webinars each Thursday for three weeks, starting October 8th. Week one will cover the time value of money, week two the rule of 72, and week three making big purchases. In each session, Lester will address topics like:

  • The key mistakes people make with money
  • The most important aspects of finance a family should implement
  • Action steps people can take to secure their future in an uncertain economy
  • Key points to budgeting

As a bonus, he’ll be giving away books like SeboldHow Money Works, and The Sucker Cycle for audience participation and answering questions correctly.

We’re excited to hear what he has to say and hope you will join us in these informative sessions. To learn more about the webinar or to sign up, click here.
